Heal Acne Scars Naturally!

By far this is one of those home remedies that actually work! I personally tried this myself as well as my husband and we swear by it! If you happen to have any type of scars on your face from acne or any other type of injury then please keep reading…

Let me begin by telling my story. I have no real deep seated scars, just acne and acne scars that have been healed through this homemade miracle! My husband on the other hand had a huge deep scar on his face as a result of an ingrown hair that he tried to pick which ended up looking like a crater after a couple of months. Needless to say he was frustrated, desperate to find a solution I did some research and tried various mask and ointments that promise to heal scars but after months we saw no improvement, that is until we tried honey! Yes HONEY! But not just any store brought honey… RAW honey. You can get local raw honey at whole foods, it’s not cheap but worth every penny. Let me tell you why raw honey and not regular supermarket honey.

Most of the honey found in grocery stores has been processed with heat, which kills off healing enzymes and destroys a lot of the nutrient-rich content. Raw honey hasn’t been processed and will give your skin the healing benefits that it needs. *If you have allergies, try a patch test first or ask your physician if raw honey is right for you.

This is by far the best natural way to treat your acne, It has the property of removing skin impurities by unclogging pores and preventing breakouts. It penetrates deep into the skin and promotes acne healing by killing the harmful bacteria and reduces scar formation. Regular application of raw honey on the affected area reduces acne scars and blemishes, and is considered to be the safest and most natural acne cure.

Here is my recipe:

One tablespoon of raw local honey and 3 drops of carrot seed oil (another of of my favorite oils to use). If you don’t have carrot seed oil (it’s hard to find) substitute for tea tree essential oil. Make sure you cleanse your face with a gentle facial cleanser, with no sulfates, or any other harsh ingredients, before applying the raw honey to your face.

Apply this to problem areas, and leave  over night and wash in the morning. You can also use as an all over face mask and leave on 30 min. then wash with warm water. Do this every night for 2 weeks and see how your skin improves. If your skin tolerates the raw honey well, keep using it until your skin improves and you no longer see acne and scars start to diminish.

Please try raw honey, it’s truly amazing and you see results within a couple of days!

  1. I have the same kind of acne and it’s just so frustrating trying to find a way to get rid of it! I am so excited to try this! Thanks for posting!

      1. What brand do you use? It may help me in finding carrot oil. I ordered what I thought was carrot oil based on the front label, but the back list carrot oil as the third ingredient. 😦

  2. My brother had a really bad accident (he foolishly jumped over the huge poles in front of Walmart!) and got a huge harsh scar but my dad made this very same thing and in no time it looks as if it never happened. Great post!

  3. Hi great post! May I know what type of honey do you use?
There are so many to choose from: manuka, clover honey, etc..

  4. Love this post. To take a step farther, don’t just use it until your acne is healed, keep washing your face with it! I have always struggled with acne, bad bad acne, and nothing, even natural diy face washes kept it away. But the local raw honey does. My face has never been this clear for this long. I will never switch again. You use just a little bit so it lasts a long time! My heart goes out to those who truly struggle with acne, try local raw honey and know that constantly worrying about how your skin looks does just make the problem worse! ❤
